Obituary of Frances Weyman
WATERBURY- Frances Girdzijauskas Weyman died on June 26 from complications of Alzheimer's disease.
She was a long time resident of Waterbury, and grew up in the Brooklyn/ Lithuanian section of town. Frances resided on Dan Parker Drive for most of her adult life, and was a communicant of St. Michael's Church. She attended St. Joseph's Grammar School, St. Francis Academy in Pittsburg, and received her college degree in Chemistry.
Frances was employed for many years as a Chemist by Pratt and Whitney, and Timex Corporation, and worked in the plating laboratories for both companies.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, baking, and walking.
She is predeceased in death by her parents, Anna and John Girdzijauskas; her husband Richard W. Weyman; her daughter Carol Weyman Mull; her sister Ann Zorsky; and her granddaughter Katherine Frances Lopez. She leaves behind a son David Weyman and his wife Linda S. Champagne of Bristol, CT; a daughter Janet Weyman Lopez of Lowell, MA; a brother John and his wife Rita of Derby, CT; a son in law James Mull of Guilford, NH. In addition she is survived by her grandchildren, Kevin J. Mull, Sarah A. Mull, Matthew W. Lopez, Christopher J. Lopez, Jessica Weyman, and Michael Champagne. She has nine nephews and nieces.
Arrangements- A private Mass of Christian Burial for Frances will be held at The Basilica of The Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main Street, Waterbury. A private burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, has care of the arrangements.
