My Sincerest Sympathy to All. Edna was BY FAR one of the SWEETEST and Most INFLUENTIAL people in my life along with her loving husband, Clayt. You see, I had the HONOR and PRIVILEGE of growing up right next door to them here in Prospect and was afforded the luxury to visit with them a couple of times a week, if not more. Each time I entered their home I was given the ROYAL treatment and made to feel as though I were someone special in their life. I enjoyed cookies and milk courtesy of Edna and listened intently to Clayt's interesting stories that he told with such ease. There was MUCH LOVE and SUPPORT always and this proved to be a mere extension of the same things that I was accustomed to in my own home as provided by my two wonderful parents. When I was a little kid and my Mom and Dad were both working, sometimes a threatening thunder and lightning storm would come around. Fortunately for me, Edna and Clayt would always have an open door policy for me and this proved to be my 'safe haven'. To this day I still have a keepsake military jacket that they gave to me before moving from Prospect. I dearly treasure that jacket as it serves as a constant reminder of those wonderful days gone by. Edna was a wonderful woman! I know she will be greatly missed, but never, ever will be forgotten!
