I only saw him a coupple of times. Im sorry not to tell you who i am but i would rather stay anomous. I cant really say what i thought of him, i barley knew him except for one exchange. When I was living in Italy i once heard a monk from my town of Napals say, "Coloro che sono stati riscattati dal Signore ritornerà . Entreranno canto Gerusalemme, coronato di gioia eterna. Dolore e lutto scomparirà , e possano essere colmati di gioia e letizia". This means "Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness." I heard brendan had a great smile and i wish i saw it. I can honestly say i feel terrible for him and for your family. Only time will tell what happens next and you will meet in heaven. insieme per sempre your family will be with brendan.

Dear Mr and Mrs McQuade, and entire McQuade Family, We have just heard about Brendan. Our oldest son Teddy Kaplita was at Columbia this past summer of 2010 for a heart transplant due to restrictive cardiomyopathy. We do not know if you would ever see this condolence, but one day, when you do, please know that we are feeling very sad. We wish to take your sorrow away but we just do not know how. We are very sorry to learn about Brendan.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. McQuade: Please accept my sincere condolences at passing of your son Brendan. My daughter, Heather, born in May, 1979, also died at Columbia Children's Hospital, NY - then known as Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center - from complications from Primary Pulmonary Hypertension in March 1994 two years before your Brendan was born. She was 14 years old. I can only say that I share your eternal grief as a parent at the loss of a child.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Brendan's passing. I fondly remember the blond headed little boy in my Second Grade class at Highland. He always had a funny story to tell and always made me smile. Brendan stopped back to see me often over years. I remember all your children and you as well. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Lovingly, Maureen and Harry Theiss

To the entire McQuade family, you have our deepest condolences. Although I didn't know Brendan personally, my daughter did and said he was a great person. What I do know of Brendan is this...he will always be the first boy who made my daughter a beautiful homemade Valentine back in the 3rd grade, which I have kept in her memory box. What a sensitive, loving boy he was even at the age of nine, and what an impression he made on me. Please have comfort in knowing that so many people are thinking of you and praying for your entire family through this very difficult time. Sincerely, The Loda Family

To Brendan's Family, I met Brendan as a 4th grader in Highland School and although I was only there for a short time, Brendan made such an impression on me. I remember how proud he was on career day, that is Dad was coming to share his career with the school. He was beaming from ear to ear. I have thought of him often over the past couple of years and can still picture that smiling face. He truly was special young man. The world has lost a special child and heaven has gained angel. My thoughts and prayers are with you as go through this difficult process.

Dear McQuade Family: We wish to express our sincere sympathy in the loss of your son Brendan. A friend had written an e-mail to me asking for prayers and I in turn wrote to many more of my friends requesting that they pray for Brendan and include him on the prayer lists at their churches. I want you to know that there were hundreds of people praying for Brendan to survive his surgeries, but it was just not ment to be. There are not words that help your family in the loss of your loved one, you son, your brother. Nothing takes that pain away. Just know that God is walking with you on this journey. Brendan is sitting at the feet of Jesus, basking in his glory and his light. He is no longer in pain. He is okay. Our sincerest sympathy, Bob and Lindsay Paolillo Dunnellon, FL
