Obituary of Mary Bridge

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Mary Louise (Horan) Bridge, 74 of Naugatuck, passed away early Sunday evening Nov. 28, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Albert E. Bridge. Mrs. Bridge was born in Waterbury, Aug. 13, 1936, a daughter of the late Patrick and Louise (Thomas) Horan and was a lifelong Naugatuck resident. She was employed by Sperry Automatics for over 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church and a member of the Beacon Valley Grange and an avid UCONN Huskies fan. Beside her husband of 54 years, she leaves three daughters, Anne Maher and her husband Don, of Westport, NY, Sharon Douty and her husband Ted, of Naugatuck and Jennifer Kabusk and her husband Jim of Prospect; 8 grandchildren, Kathleen, Jameson, and Lauren Maher, Erica and Thomas Douty, and James, Anna, and Zachariah Kabusk. She also leaves cousins, Jeanne Flanders and Paul Rieker, a sister-in-law, Jean Horan, a nephew David Horan and nieces, Beth Nelson and Tina Romeo, and her best friends, Angie Ciarello and Lil Roseto. She also leaves her husband's family, Betty and Clarence Jacques, Bob and Joyce Bridge, Dorothy Jacques, Margaret and Bob Henrichs and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Albert, Jr. and a brother, Thomas J. Horan. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Kert Sabbath and staff at H.L.R.C.C. and the nurses and doctors on 3rd floor ICU/CCU at St. Mary's; Mrs. Sherri Hopkins, Charlie, Ann, Dave, Ricky and Allison Pugliese, and the entire Sperry Automatics Family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday Dec. 1, 2010 at 11 am at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of the service.
