Obituary of Frances Stuart

PLANTSVILLE - Frances G. Stuart, 92, formerly of Cheshire, passed away Friday December 17, 2010 at Southington Care Center. She was the husband of Edward L. Stuart who passed away in 2000. Mrs. Stuart was born February 27, 1918 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Lintner) Gunterman. She was a long time Cheshire resident moving to Plantsville in 2008. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church and had worked for Bristol Insurance as well as Consolidated Industries of Cheshire. Mrs. Stuart is survived by her sons Edward "Ned" Stuart and his wife Kathy of Houston, TX and George Stuart and his wife Eileen of Queensbury, NY; her daughter Marcia Fritz, with whom she made her home in Plantsville; her brother Joseph Gunterman of Waterbury; her sisters Margaret Gunterman of Waterbury and Barbara Capozzi of Palm City, FL; four grandsons; one granddaughter; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her son Robert, her son-in-law Dr. Andrew Fritz and her sister Mary Kosinski. Arrangements - Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 21, 2010, 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in Thomaston. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
