Obituary of Pernette Amici
BETHANY - Pernette Martín-Amici, age 91, passed away on May 2, 2012 at The Willows in Woodbridge. She was the wife of the late Marcel Amici.
She was born on April 29, 1921 in the Canton Vaud, Switzerland and moved to the United States in 1955. Pernette was a Bethany resident for 45 years.
Pernette studied ceramic arts in Nyon, Switzerland and later ran a successful fine china studio in Geneva. After moving to the United States with her husband, Pernette continued to pursue painting fine china while raising her family, built a home in Bethany, and lovingly attended to her home. In life, Maman treated everyone with the utmost kindness and respect, was very gentle-natured, generous, trustworthy, insightful, thoughtful, spiritual, and had a way of making everything that she did and touched, special. She was a devoted mother and Grandmére. Maman is and will continue to be deeply missed in perpetuity by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind a beloved son, Michael, a daughter-in-law, Christina, and granddaughter, Natalie, of Bethany. Besides her husband of 53 years, she is predeceased by her two brothers, Jean-Paul and Francis.
