It was with much sadness to read of Anne's passing. We always enjoyed Dr. Giddings stories about the things Anne did with the birds feathers. This is for her: I'm Still Here I was near you, by your bed last night; I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep. I chirped to you softly as you brushed away a tear, It's me, I haven't left you. I'm well. I'm fine. I'm here. I was close to you at breakfast. I watched you pour the tea. You were thinking of the many times your hands reached out to me. I was with you at the shops today. Your arms were getting sore. I longed to take your parcels; I wish I could do more. I was with you at my grave today. You tend it with such care. I want to reassure you, that I am not lying there. I flew with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently touched you with a feather, I smiled and said, It's me. You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know that I was perching there It's possible for me to be so near you everyday - To say to you with certainty, I never went away. You sat there very quietly, and then smiled, I think you knew. In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you. The day is over, I smile and watch you yawning And say, Good night, God Bless, I'll see you in the morning. And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I'll fly across to greet you and we'll enter side by side. I have so many things to show you. There is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out... Then come home to be with me.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on your loss. I've known Anne since Carolyn and Kevin were in school with Charlotte and Bobby and I saw her most recently at CHS when she was subbing there in Math. What a wonderful woman! My family has kept all of you in our prayers since her accident last month. We were so hopeful for her recovery. God had other plans. May your faith sustain you in this sad time. Sincerely, Joan Ginnetti

Mrs. Giddings was the assistant principal of my high school in 1990. She introduced me to Dr. Giddings giving me an exciting opportunity that I will remember forever. A wonderful woman and a helpful family. She will be missed and my thoughts are with you.

I am very saddened to hear of Anne's death. I was the Director of Education Services for Ct. Trails Girl Scout council for over 20 years, and Anne volunteered with my department as a trainer helping other leaders in the Cheshire area for many years. Her belief in the principles and goals of Girl Scouting helped to inspire new leaders. He support for them was given with true Girl Scout spirit, and was an example of Juliette Lowe's belief that the strength of the Girl Scout organization lay in the hands of our volunteers. I always enjoyed working with Anne, and was grateful for her support of my goals for helping troop leaders be the best they could be. I am sure Juliette Lowe has given her a special welcome to the space in Heaven reserved for Girl Scout Volunteers.

Please know how sorry I am to hear of Anne Gidding's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Anne in the Ansonia Public Schools. She was the most supportive person of the alternative education program where I was the principal. I pay my respects to her family. She will be dearly missed.

To the family and friends of Anne Roede Giddings, I send you my prayers and my deepest sympathy. I met Anne in college when she lived across the hall from me during our sophomore year. Always caring and lovely from the inside out, Anne was impressively bright. I still remember her joyful glow when she returned to the dorm after a date with Bob, with whom she shared her life thereafter. How wonderful! What gifts she has given over the years - to her family and friends, to the education of children, to her church, and to her community. Anne was a very special woman who will be missed terribly and remembered forever.

Dear Bob and Family, Having lost a daughter from an accident, and two loving wives to disease in my lifetime, I know something about the grief you are bearing in your loss of Dear Anne. She was a lovely, caring and accomplished woman with remarkable qualities. It will be those qualities which you will remember as life goes on. I was blessed to have moved to Cheshire where Betsy and I got to know Anne and, you, Bob, and to sing with you in the Church Choir all of those years. God Bless. Sincerely, Bud
