Dear Joel, Abbi and Marc-- I am thinking of you in your moment of grief, but I am also remembering with a smile your mother's wit, good cheer and kind hospitality to me personally. I'm thinking back to those days in Concord--basketball games in the driveway, copies of Psychology Today in the house, Marriage Encounter, your Dad's perfectly marinated steak (always) and your mother's benign but commonsense explanation of the relation of Jews to gentiles! So I'm thinking back on her life with joy. Much love to you and your family from me, Katie and John-- Peter
