L.T. was the fine example of a CT State Trooper-filled with Pride, Integrity & Guts, old school and what todays Troopers should strive to equal. So long Jim, see you in Valhalla!

I share your grief during this period, as James Rodgers was a father to me also growing up in a troubled childhood. He and Alice were the role models and stabilizers in my life, and I owe so much to this family. But now heaven is graced with his presence and I know that we shall meet again when life's journey is over, and eternal life begins with our Lord Jesus Christ.

As an old friend and colleague of Jimmy's and the current President of the Alumni Association it was my privilege to have both known Jim and been inspired by him. He fueled my interest in the departments fraternal organizations. As we prepare to open the museum I am saddened he will not be here in person, but will most definitely be there with us all in spirit.

I had the distinct honor and privilege of working with Jim on many CSP Color Guard details and parades. Jim always had a story to tell involving the department. Jim wore his uniform with pride, proud to be a Connecticut State Trooper. I will remember Sgt Jim Rodgers as the sole individual who carved the road for the future Connecticut State Police Museum, always collecting and saving old CSP uniforms and old equipment. God's peace to the entire family. RIP.
