Obituary of Anthony Esposito

CHESHIRE - Anthony Esposito, 82, passed away Wednesday July 20, 2011 at Mid-State Medical Center. He was the husband of Maria (Riccitelli) Esposito. Mr. Esposito was born September 26, 1928 in New Haven the son of the late Anthony and Stella (Vuolo) Esposito. He was a longtime Cheshire resident where he was a communicant of St. Thomas Becket and active with the Knights of Columbus Santa Fe Council. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. Besides his wife of 60 years, Mr. Esposito is survived by his sons Anthony J. Esposito of Cheshire, Michael Esposito and his wife Maura of Cheshire; his daughter Cheryl Sortor and her husband Douglas of Grand Junction, CO; his sisters Margaret, Rose, and Stella; four grandchildren; a great grandchild; his sister-in-laws Frances, Corrine and Lorraine; several nieces and nephews; as well as his good friends Gordon and Alice Kresta. Arrangements - Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 28, 2011 10:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 S. Main St. to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the funeral procession leaves for church.
