Obituary of Mabel Schuster
WATERBURY- Mabel B. Schuster, 90, died August 13, 2011. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Schuster who died in 1970.
She was born on November 30, 1920, in Waterbury, CT where she was a lifelong resident.
Mabel was an Assistant Vice President and a Trust Officer at Colonial Bancorp. She was a parishioner of St. John's Episcopal Church, a member of the Republican National Committee and the Rainbow Girls. Her hobbies included golf, reading, bridge, and knitting
Mrs. Schuster is also predeceased by her son, Rev. Richard L. Schuster, her sister, Willa Jones, and her long-time friend, Thomas Casey.
She is survived by her two granddaughters, Wendi A. Cozzi and her husband Al of Naugatuck, CT, and Alyson R. Marcucio and her husband Phil of Waterbury, CT; her daughter-in-law, Angela Stovall; her nephew, Charles W. Jones III; and four great-grandchildren, Philip, Jacob, Rebecca and Cassandra.
Arrangements - A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 16 Church Street, Waterbury. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens, on the grounds of St. Johns at a later time. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 16 Church Street, Waterbury, CT 06702. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. is assisting with the arrangements.
