Obituary of Walter French

ELLENTON, FL- Walter (Wally) H. French, 81, of Ellenton, Florida, Brocton and Scituate Massachusetts, passed away Monday September 19, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT. He was the husband of Marilyn L. French, of Hingham and Scituate, Massachusetts. He was born February 26, 1930 in Brockton, MA son of the late George C. and Grace (Harding) French. Wally was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He attended Stone Hill College, was a member of the Rotary Club in Brockton, MA and Bradenton, FL, and a board member of the Musicians Union of Brocton, Local 138 American Federation of Musicians. Besides his wife, Wally is survived by a son James L. O'Neill of Quincy, MA; two daughters Janice O. and her husband Richard Yusza of Cheshire, CT, and Nancy J. O'Neill of Warwick, RI; a granddaughter Jamie Lynn Correy of Quincy, MA; and two great grandchildren William D. Shaw, and Stephanie J. Shaw. He was predeceased by his first wife Jacqueline Dugas. Arrangements- A Memorial Service for Wally will be held 10 A.M Saturday September 24, 2011 at St. Mary of the Nativity 1 Kent Street, Scituate Harbor, MA 02066. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Scituate. There are no calling hours. Donations in Wally's name may be made to American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
