Shirley was our neighbor for five years, during the years we started growing our family. She was always so friendly, helpful, and giving. She always offered a compassionate ear to boost my early motherhood confidence. I loved to hear her tell the history of the neighborhood, and she knew it well because she was such a caring individual. I am saddened to hear of this loss for Bill and for her children and grandchildren. I hope that you know she made a true difference in my life. Through her grace, she gave me precious perspective that has made me a better mother and person for being her friend.

Dearest Shirlene, Alison, Stan and Bill- You are in my thoughts and prayers today and always as you move forward--the memories of Shirley by your side where she should be. Still in that journey myself, I know all too well the toll it takes. Shirley was a love. A complete love. I am so saddened by her passing and know we will all miss her bright wit and personality. I see her in both of you "girls" and love that her spirit will continue to be with us as we gather. I've come to believe that the term "larger than life" rings true most when your loved one is gone. Shirley was bigger than this life and we'll continue to feel her presence forever. Much love from me, Shawn and Jack. xoxo

Alison and the Smith family, So very sorry to hear about Mrs, Smith. You're in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. It must be so hard.I was so glad to have run into Mrs and Mr. Smith over the summer after so many years. I recognized her by her beautiful eyes and gentle smile and when she spoke I was flooded with memories of my youth. Her voice still so soft and sweet and I was reminded of what a kind lady she was. I am so glad I got to chat with her again. Work and obligations preclude me from attending the services and I am very sorry for that as I would have loved to see you all in person to express my condolences. My best to all of you.
