Obituary of Katherine Leech

CHESHIRE - Katherine E. (Hogan) Leech, 93, of Cheshire, passed away May 29, 2012 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Martin Leech who passed away in 2009. Mrs. Leech was born June 27, 1918 in Stamford, the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary Ellen (McNamara) Hogan. Before moving to Cheshire in 1999, Mrs. Leech was a longtime Riverside resident. She was also a communicant of St. Bridget Church in Cheshire. Mrs. Leech is survived by her daughters Katherine Napoli (Richard) of Cheshire, Barbara Smith of Cheshire, Michele Martin (Daniel) of Trumbull, and Martha Leech of Cheshire; eight grandchildren Kerry Scarice (Tom), Richard Napoli, Beth Napoli, Jeffrey Napoli, Billy Iuso (Tara), Kevin Smith, Lori Sawicki (Ryan) and Katie Martin; six great grandchildren Ella, Owen, Gavin, Brayden, Aria and William; her sister-in-law Ceil Malinak as well as several nieces and nephews. Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Friday June 1, 2012, 10:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 until the procession leaves for church.
