I had so many adventures with my dear friend, Arleen. After being brought together by our granddaughters many years ago, we became fast friends. I introduced her to loud rock music at Cafe' Nine. One night my son was playing and Arline was glad to come with me. She loved it! That was the first of many times we would be sitting at a table at Cafe' Nine enjoying the shows. That was a world she had never experienced before. Another new experience she loved was going to the Ninth Square Art Galleries. Other fun times included plays at the Shubert, taking our granddaughters to her pool, and of course, countless New Have Home Recovery (New Reach) auctions. Arleen just beamed on those nights, taking pictures and showing off her beautiful daughter. Her family was so important to her and she loved them all so much, especially Zoeann and Max. I learned a lot about life in the Bronx and how that shaped her character. Having her in my life was special and I will never forget her.
