No words can express the sorrow that I, and those who knew and loved Mark feel at this time. Thinking of all the good times shared with my cousin Mark, from playpen buddies through the tricycle races, the first day of school & playing as kids on Fall Mountain, to and through adulthood. My sympathy to Mark’s entire family. I was stunned when I heard of Mark’s passing; so saddened to have such news. I’ve had the fortune to have known Mark as a colleague and a friend for over two decades. What a gregarious person. Never speechless; always a smile. We passed great times together, memorable times. We were in agreement on many things, and the Red Sox was definitely one of them. I will always remember Mark for his friendliness and his sincerity. We each have with us the treasures of how Mark has touched us in a special way.

Dear Kathy, Kappy, Steve and Family, I was so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. He was a great friend and introduced me to my late husband Jim Burton! I have many fond memories of attending concerts, spending time with Mark, John, Peter and other drum corps people. One special memory was a Christmas Eve party at your parents' house that we walked through a snowstorm to attend. Mark and I were born 1 day apart, so when we were younger we would have a birthday bash at my place....What I'll remember and miss most about Mark is his love of people, his cheerfulness and always having a good story to tell. He was generous with this time and friendship, and I cherish the good times I was lucky to spend with him.

It was an honor and a priveledge to know Mark and to be his friend. We know he is in a better place and will think of him often. He was always interested on how we were doing and showed kindness to my girls whenever we spoke. He was a person Ed could talk music with and was on top of our favorite artists as well of his vast sports knowledge.
