Obituary of Albert S. Prinz

Albert S. Prinz, age 93, of Cheshire entered into rest on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Edith (Williams) Prinz, with whom he had celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 1st. Albert was born on December 6, 1920 in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Matthew and Annie (Bartolj) Prinz. Al was the owner and operator of Edal Industries and Current, Inc. in East Haven. He was a recreational pilot and an avid skier up to the age of 70. Albert loved to garden, taking pride tending to his Dahlias, and was also intrigued by current events. He is the beloved father of Gary Prinz and his wife Carol of Branford; Brian Prinz of East Haven; Pam Lawrence and her husband Cliff of Sandpoint, ID; Eric Prinz of Charlestown, RI; Steven Prinz and his wife Violetta of Guilford and Albert Prinz, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Bethany. Albert also leaves his loving grandchildren; Matthew and David Prinz and Marci Hart; Brian Prinz, Jr. and Arianna Prinz; Adam and Allison Lawrence; Ross Prinz; Steven Prinz, Jr. and Troy Prinz; and Jillian, Michael and Natalie Prinz; His cherished great-grandchildren; Murphy Jack Hart; and Jaydn, Talon and Jacqueline Prinz. He was predeceased by his son Mark Prinz. Albert’s funeral procession will leave the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 9:15AM for a Funeral Service at 10AM at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Street. Interment will follow at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 5PM to 8PM. At the request of his family, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 855 Asylum Avenue, Hartford, CT 06050.
