Obituary of David C. Ross

Devoted Husband, Brother, Father, and Grandfather WATERBURY- David C. Ross passed away peacefully on September 4th 2014, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Marjorie (Meyers) Ross for 51 years. David was born February 3rd, 1928. He was the son of Benjamin and Rose (Berezitsky) Ross. David graduated from Crosby High School in 1946 and the University of Connecticut in 1950. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. David was the President of the Insurance Center of Waterbury. Even after retirement, he remained dedicated to his clients and staff. He served on the Board of Directors of North American Bank and Trust. For many years, he was very active in the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut. David was a huge sports fan; faithfully following the Cincinnati Reds and New York Giants. Most important in his life were his children and 6 grandchildren. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his daughters, Jane Ross and her husband, Sean Condon; Sarah Ross and her husband, Michael Ball; and Karen Senich and her partner, Mark Brennan; his grandchildren, Lilian Senich, Jacob Ball, Andrew Ball, Jessica Ball, Grace Shaina Condon and Sadie Condon. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Joyce Haskel Morehead and her husband, Fred Morehead; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements- Funeral services for David will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 7th 2014 at B’nai Israel in 444 Main St. N. Southbury, CT. followed by burial in Brass City Lodge Cemetery, Stillson Rd. Waterbury, CT. Shiva will be observed at B’nai Israel on Sunday September 7th, at 7p.m. and on Monday September 8th, at 7p.m. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave., is assisting with arrangements. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to B'nai Israel Synagogue or the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut, both located at 444 Main St. North, Southbury, CT 06488, or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
