"Faith" By Louise Barnes Fanton
I searched for words to console you, but all I can offer you is faith!
That our loved ones reside now in heaven with our maker by their side!
The journey may appear dark to us, our faith will lighten the days;
That they have not abandoned us, but left first to prepare the way!
They build a house of love and harmony for us to rest our weary heads;
With faith they wait patiently, joyfully greeting us one day!
We feel their presence about us, guardian angels kneeling at our bed!
Softly whispering to us words of faith that they left first to prepare the way!
My son Ernie was a survivor and warrior and he fought a long hard battle to overcome his illness.
Now he is in God's arms and surrounded by so many relatives and friends who proceeded him and
mainly his father who loved him so very much. Tears flow down my cheeks and it seems like they will
never end and my heart feels so empty that my son made the journey before me. Love Mother

It is breaking my heart to have to write this. It has been 35 years since I saw Ernie. I have thought about him often. When I was 13 and he was 17 he bought a Mustang from my brother. All it took was one look out my window and I developed the biggest crush ever! I wrote poems about him, followed him around and walked by his house on Bradley Street - three times a day! He was my first real crush! He always had the coolest cars .
I cannot believe that he has passed. My crush lasted for several years and the last time I saw him he was 20 years old. I am going to remember that 20 year old forever - with his long blonde hair and cool cars. His last words to me were I Love You and those were my last words to him.
My deepest sympathy to his entire family.
It is a sad day for me.

Ernie, Our deepest sympathies to you and your family for the loss of your dad. Sometimes it's difficult to understand why things happen as they do. May it comfort you to know he is at peace and in a better place. I'm sure he's very proud of the man you became. Stay strong and take care. Aunt Sandy and Uncle Dan....xxxxoooo

Buddy was not only my nephew but a very good friend. Bud would visit almost every month when we would share personal and family updates. We enjoyed making each other happy by exchaning small gifts, especially DVDs. We knew each others' favorite actors and their films. We remembered each other with greeting cards on special occasions. Going to take some time for me to stop looking for his car to pull up on those precious Sunday afternoons. Aunt Shirl.

Ernie was a good friend always made us laugh when he came to the car lot. Unfortunately, we lost track of each other over time. He was fun to be as around he loved cars as much as l did. Was always good to see him (and Buddy) pull in. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Jim Norman
