Obituary of Mary Ellen Johnston

CHESHIRE - Mary Ellen Johnston, 70, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of Frederick S. Johnston III. Mrs. Johnston was born December 11, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late G. Harold and Mary (Caldavilla) Metz. She was well-loved by friends and family, had an infectious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Besides her husband of 47 years, Mrs. Johnston is survived by her sons Ted and his wife Beth Ann of Trumbull, and Christopher and his wife Katie of Thompson's Station, TN; her daughter Liz Linehan and her husband Brian of Cheshire; her grandchildren Rowan, Cooper, Zoe, Connor and Finnegan. Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Friday October 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
