Obituary of Susan Sutherland

CHESHIRE - Susan Sutherland, 63, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Craig C. Sutherland. Mrs. Sutherland was born January 22, 1951 in Southington, the daughter of the late William Willetts and Jane (Williams) Willetts Sheehan. She was a lifelong Cheshire resident who was employed at Omnicare in Cheshire. Prior to her time at Omnicare she was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Elim Park for almost 20 years. Susan enjoyed spending time at the Milford beach and was a fan of the New York Giants. Most importantly she was known for her love for her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Donald and his wife Lisa of Guilford and Jeffrey and his wife Jillian of Cheshire; her daughter Cara Garcia and her husband John P. "Jake" of Bethany; her sister Virginia Willetts and her wife Diana of Ivoryton; her brother William Thomas Willetts and his wife Lynda of East Long Meadow, MA; her sister in law Karen Luciani of Cheshire, her brother in law Barry Sutherland and his wife Lisa of Cheshire, her six grandchildren J.C., Jeffrey Jr., Natalie, John, Abigail and Samantha; several nieces and nephews; as well as her dear friends Brian and Kathy Fell of Avon. Arrangements – Funeral services will be held Thursday November 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
