Obituary of Katherine DeVito

CHESHIRE - Katherine Devito, 92, was welcomed into the loving arms of her heavenly family on December 1, 2014. Her husband of 50 years, Joseph L. DeVito greeted her with the smile that sealed their bond. Katherine was born July 22, 1922 in Cheshire, the daughter of the late Thomas and Maria (Jacarusso) Casso. She was a lifelong Cheshire resident and beloved mother to her daughter Linda Carrano and her husband James of Meriden and her son Richard Devito of Cheshire. She is survived by her youngest brother Thomas Casso Jr. of MA and predeceased by her brother Al Casso and her sister Marlene Amico. Always a gentle soul, her legacy of love and kindness will endure in the hearts of the family she leaves behind. Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 6, 2014, 9:15 from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
