Obituary of Leo J. Ayotte
CHESHIRE- Leo J. Ayotte, 81, passed away, Friday December 19, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Marie J. (Vignali) Ayotte whom he was married to for 58 years.
He was born February 22, 1933 in Waterbury son of the late Peter and Florence (LaBelle) Ayotte.
Leo was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Post University where he received his degree in Business Management. Leo was employed at CL&P as a Purchasing Manager prior to his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and B.P.O.E Lodge #1669 in Southington
Besides his wife he is survived by his sister Florence Gagne of Wolcott; his brother-in-law Michael Vignali of Coconut Creek, FL; his sister-in-law Shirley Vignali of Waterbury; and several nieces, nephews, and god-children. Leo was predeceased by his sister Rita Caouette.
Arrangements-Leo’s funeral will be held 10:15 A.M Tuesday December 23, 2014 from The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, 06410 and proceed to St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, for a Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held the morning of the funeral from 9 A.M until the precession leaves for church. Donations in his name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
