I just learned about Gen's passing. My heart is broken for Ray and Matt and all her friends...of which she had many! I met my dear friend/mentor/mom in 1984 while working with Kitty Parente at Cheshire Real Estate. Shortly after buying a home I started working there. Gen was an instant friend and loving support system for me through work and more importantly through life! I still see her smiling face and can hear her gentle, kind words through some of the most difficult and most joyful times in my life. Though I moved away, Gen was never far from my heart. She was an amazing expression of God's love to me and my family...she will be missed. Heaven has a beautiful person...I bet she is the greeter! Love, hugs and prayers, RIP Gen. Xoxo

Dear Matt,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your mother was such a lovely and sweet lady. I will always remember the times she would come down to DC to visit you and we would go out to dinner or just hang out and always had such a good time. She really love you a lot, and I know she meant the world to you. Please know that your friends and former colleagues are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. Lots of love, Barbara

I first met Gen in 1974 (I was a junior in high school and hired by Sarris & Calcagni). She took me right under her wing and helped me in so many ways. I haven't seen her in a long time, but have always remembered her and will in the future. RIP Gen

I first met Gen in 1996 when I worked with her and the great staff for three years during CRE and DeWolfe days. It was my first job back into the market after our youngest daughter entered school full time. Gen, being a devoted mom (and wife) herself, was sensitive to my transition and was a wonderful, patient, and kind mentor. We shared many happy times together there. Her eyes sparkled when she spoke of her family, and I was pleased to see Gen from time to time in town after I left and even had the opportunity to meet Matt on one of those occasions. Gen was a caring, thoughtful person and professional that exuded such grace. May God grant her the peace she so richly deserves. With sincere sympathy, Barbara Buccilli

So many of us were fortunate enough to work with Gen over the years. She is truly "A Great Lady". Always answering the phone with a smile in her voice no matter how busy or stressed she was. Of course she never let you see her sweat. Never a harsh word toward anyone. The money always came first. She had to make sure the deposits were made and the agents were paid promptly. If you want to start a company you need to hire someone like "Gen McGuire" first. But they don't make them like that anymore. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Ray, Matt and Aunt Martha. Gen would politely ask "Is it ok if I take a little longer lunch break to take Aunt Martha to the eye doctor today?" I will miss seeing her at Dunkin' Donuts or passing her car on Route 10. I am honored that I got to know her these past 4 years. If we all had a little Gen McGuire in us the world would be a kinder place. She is loved by all who knew her and we will miss her dearly.

Gen and I started working together 28 years ago. There were many changes over the years, with new policies and new technology and Gen weathered it all. Gen was not just taking care of business. She was taking care of people. Many of us were privileged to be part of that group of 'her' people.
She was our first line of defense. She was the kindly and helpful voice to clients and real estate agents as well. She was our real life "Siri".
Gen gave generously to everyone she met and worked with and on occasion with a wicked sense of humor. Sometimes I would walk out of her office laughing, and saying to myself, "Did she just say what I think she said? That was really funny!"
But discretion was another wonderful quality she practiced so as never to offend anyone.
She did her job in a quiet and dignified manner every day. Gen was a generous and kind friend to us all. We will miss 'our Gen' enormously.

To the family of Gen McGuire,
I may have met Gen at an admin meeting but I did not know her. I just wanted to send my most heartfelt condolences to her family as a fellow admin in another Coldwell Banker office in Connecticut. I was told she was well liked and was a valuable asset in the company for her work performance and ethics. So sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Deborah Mollica
