Tom was the best man at my wedding in 1953. My wife Joan and I were good friends with Tom at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. After the wedding, we lost touch with each other. I just want to say that Mr. houde will always be a fond memory for me. I had him in 7th grade when I attended FHJH in the 60's. Seems so long ago. He stepped in and saved me from becoming a juvenile delinquent, He turned me around with his wisdom and patients. may he rest in peace and God bless such a wonderful man.

Mr. Houde was my art teacher at Fair Haven Junior High in New Haven, CT. I remember him kindly as a very patient man who always saw good in his students. I am grateful that I was able to have been one of his students. He inspired me to truly enjoy art! God Bless your family.

MR HOUDE WAS MY 7th GRADE HOME ROOM TEACHER. RM 7-320 1962. I REALLY LIKED HIM. HE ALWAYS ENCOURAGED ME. WOULS SAY DONT GIVE UP,YOU CAN DO IT. AS I PERSUED MY EDUCATION I WOULD RETURN AND VISIT HIM AT FAIR HAVEN JR. HIGH. HE ALWAYS SEEMED SO TICKELED WITH MY PROGRESS. I DONT SEE MEN LIKE HIM IN THE PUBLIC EDUCATION SYSTEM ANYMORE. HE COMANDED RESPECT BUT WHEN YOU GAVE IT HE WOULD RETURN IT. WHEN I MADE IT I COULD SENSE HIS PRIDE IN HIS FORMER STUDENT. IM PROUD OF THAT. RIP MR HOUDE. IM A BETTER MAN BECAUSE OF YOU.
