Obituary of Doreen Pulisciano

CHESHIRE – Doreen (DiMeola) Pulisciano, 68, passed away April 20, 2015 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of the late Michael D. Pulisciano Sr. Mrs. Pulisciano was born April 10, 1947 in New Haven the daughter of the late Richard G. and Doris (Bradley) DiMeola. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Gerontology from Quinnipiac University in 2000 and was the Municipal Agent and Director of the Cheshire Senior Center. She was extremely active in the Cheshire community through various different civic groups as well as state associations. Mrs. Pulisciano was a past recipient of the Elim Park Citizen of the Year award and the YMCA Unsung Hero Award. She enjoyed watching Mohegan Sun Basketball and especially the UCONN Women’s Basketball. Mrs. Pulisciano is survived by her son Richard and his wife Frances (Maselli) Pulisciano of Cheshire and their children Ricky, Mia, Ava and Giada; her sister Marilyn McDonald and her husband Bill of Phoenix, AZ; her brother-in-law John Keeley of Orange; her sister-in-law Kimberly Pulisciano of Meriden as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Michael Jr.; her sister Joan Keeley; and her brother-in-law Alberto Pulisciano. Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 25, 2015, 9:15 from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
