We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Roberta's family. She wasn't only a long time friend but we considered her part of our family and loved her as such. Its so hard to imagine that she is no longer with us, she was such a vibrant, energetic and loving person. She will be missed an we hope that she's playing 18 with Rich and the Hammer.

Your mom was a very special lady, such vitality for life, loved doing for others and loved her family.
When I joined CCW 5 years ago, she was warm and welcoming and made me comfortable.
Roberta promoted golf for women, more than anyone I had ever met. Her pet project The First Tee, allows children of varying economic levels to enjoy a great sport.
You're privileged to have had her as your Mom.

Roberta was such a special woman. She so loved her family and friends. She often called my mother "roomie", referring to their college years, but conveying the love that their lifelong friendship meant between them. I remember her social nature. Always happy with having a get together. She was my brothers godmother, and always shared her love of Christmas with a unique ornament for each of us every year. As a child, when a lawn jart landed in the back of my head during one of her picnics, she was quick to shove my head under the kitchen faucet to clean the wound, and then comfort me. That was Roberta. Loving of life and those who meant so much to her. Her voice, laugh, and livelihood will live on in my memory. She touched so many lives. My sincerest condolences are sent to all who loved her too.

To Roberta's Family,
It is with deep sadness that my lifelong friend has passed. Roberta and I met at St. Margaret's School - now Chase Collegiate - and we went to the same college where we were roommates. She called me Roomy and I called her Bert. Those days are unforgettable. What a fine friend!
She was a bridesmaid in my wedding to George and I was in her first wedding to Alan Atwood. She was the Godmother to my twin sons and I am Godmother to her son.
What a cherished gift!
We constantly stayed in touch and shared numerous occasions over the years. When she became Mrs. Massey I was so elated. Their marriage was meant to be. Now they are together again and at peace.
I am so blessed to have known such a wonderful person and will surely miss her. George and I extend our deepest condolences to all her family. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we send our love, Ginny and George Grandell

To Roberta's Family,
My heartfelt condolences to you all. I had the distinct honor and privilege of knowing Roberta and playing golf with her for many years. She was my partner at Manchester Country Club for 3 years before she decided that playing golf in snow, rain, cold, wind and a variety of other horrendous weather conditions was enough for her!!! But the shopping in VT was fabulous and I believe in retrospect, that was the only reason she agreed after the 1st year!!!
She was a wonderful woman and someone I'm proud to say was my friend - I will miss her dearly for her voice of reason and her smile.
Sincerely,
Sharon Ober
