Obituary of Angel Batista

WATERBURY- Mr. Angel Batista, 93, of Waterbury, passed away Friday evening July 17, 2015, at the Vitas Hospice Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Edith Velez Batista who passed away in 2002. Mr. Batista was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, April 22, 1922, a son of the late Manuel and Filomina (Negro) Batista and came to this country from Puerto Rico in 1986. He work in Masonry and Construction prior to his retirement. He leaves three daughters Milagros Morales of Bronx, N.Y., Carmen Nguyen and Marisol Batista both of Waterbury; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday July 20th from 5 to 8 p.m.
