Obituary of William V. Langellotti

OAKVILLE- William “Bill” V. Langellotti, 87, entered eternal life on Sunday July 26, 2015 at home after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Nettie (Galasso) Langellotti to whom he was married for 64 years. Bill was born October 8, 1927 in New York, NY son of the late Vincent and Rose (Bellavista) Langellotti. He was a talented toolmaker and engineer working at Bulova, Timex, Selectro and Winchester Electronics prior to his retirement. As a youth he hiked extensively in the Catskills and Adirondaks. He shared his love of singing as part of several quartets and the "Valley Chordsmen" Barbershop Chorus for 40 years, serving as president at one time. An audiophile and photographer, he and his wife were seasoned international travelers and ballroom dancers. He enjoyed classical music, theater, and ballet. Besides his loving wife he is survived by his three sons, William “Bill” A. and his wife Catherine Langellotti of Oakville, Robert and his wife Jean Langellotti of North Andover, MA, and Dr. Richard and his wife Emmi Volosov Langellotti of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren, Sean Morgan, Christopher, Matthew, Julia, Adam, David, and Stephen Langellotti; and three great grandchildren Gabrielle and Kaleigh Morgan, and Sydney Annmarie Langellotti. Arrangements- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 A.M Monday August 3, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 145 Buckingham Street, Oakville, 06779. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 669 Platt Road, Watertown, 06795. Calling hours will be held 3 to 5 P.M Sunday August 2, 2015 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710.
