Dear "Miss Singleton",
You were my third grade teacher at Humiston School, and later, Mr. Cummings was my fifth grade teacher at Norton, and I believe that was the year you were married. I remember you both vividly and how excited I was that my two favorite teachers were getting married! I was truly saddened to read of Mr. Cummings passing and wanted you to know that after all these years how you both influenced my education and how much I appreciated your dedication. I hope you find some comfort in knowing that so many of your students are thinking of you and extending heartfelt sympathy.
Sincerely,
Karen Vosburgh Larese

Living in Sydney, Australia we got to spend much too little time in the company of Tommy. But in that time we got to see the love he had for his family and they for him. Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family at this difficult time. Good on yer mate!

So sorry to hear the news of Father and Grandfather's passing. We were very privileged to be close to Cathy and Bob Dame and family and to have known Mr. Cummings and the family well. He was such a great Father and Grandfather and we know that his spirit lives on in his grandchildren especially with their love of Red Sox and Boston and all things sports related but great minds as well!
Please accept our deepest sympathies,
The Walsh Family,
Duxbury Mass.

Mary and family, I am so sorry for your loss! I went to Doolittle School in the early '80s and fondly remember Mr. Cummings. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. I also remember in 1983 my brother became very ill and was in the hospital for a month. During that time Mr. Cummings went to the hospital several times to visit him and would read him the comics and bring him gifts! Such a caring and special man!!!

dear Pat, and family:
What can I say? I am terribly sorry for your loss, I personally became your supporter
while you served as mine at ARC. Even though times were tough, we sought some
sort of relief through each other! Thank you and please call upon me whenever you
feel up to it.
My deepest condolences to the family, I know how difficult it is for them and the
distance which made it even more difficult.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Cummings family. Tom was a good man who set an example for all who came in contact with him on how the live your life, how to use your God given talents to help others and was always willing to share a bit of wisdom to a conversation in a quiet yet extremely helpful way. May you all find peace, understanding and strength in your days of sorrow.

Dear Pat & family it was with great sadness we learned of Tom's passing. He was our neighbor & I served under his principal ship at Highland School. He was always smiling & ready to give you a good word whether in the school halls or as you passed his house on Lewis as he was packing up the car for golf! We will all miss his good will & sense of humor. God Bless. Judy Salemme & Family (we lived on Crescent Circle but moved 3 years ago.)
