Dear Family,
Sending my deep sympathy for the loss of my dear old friend Lorraine.
We were both living in the Broadview Acres project in Bucks Hill during the early 50's. My mother suddenly died in Nov. 55 and I moved to lower No. Main St....Lorriane almost daily took the bus and even walked the several miles where we spent the day together always up to mishevious things. During the summer we would walk the several miles up to Lakewood park with our bread/Jelly sandwiches and spend the day swimming where my Dad or older sister would pick us up and drive us home.
I'll always remember when my Dad took us to the shore for a picnic and swimming...Lorriane had "never" seen the Ocean and it was truly a little overwhelming for her to see the never ending Ocean.
We were very close during this time and suddenly my Dad remarried and we moved away.
Much too far for us to get together as we used to and during those years not everyone even had a phone or if they did there were party lines so our beautiful close friendship slowly ended....during these past 60+ years I often thought of her as I'm sure she thought of me.....sadly never to see eachother again.....even more sad to discover she was in Autumn Lake Home and I live less than a mile away still in Bucks Hill area. I would loved to have visited with her.
I'm sure she is now living in the beauty of Paradise surrounded by Love in the Peace and Joy of Heaven.
My deep sympathy for your loss and mine.
