Dearest Bob, Karen and Kurt,
She was the Queen of Hearts, we all loved Patty. We have so many wonderful memories of Pat, Saratoga trips, Aruba, Newport Beach, Santa Anita, Boston, Cape Cod, the many cherished times we had you and Patty to ourselves Bob, we relished every minute.
Patty was an inordinately kind and loving person so easy to know and love. Although all of our hearts are broken, we have such glorious memories. Sitting out on your wonderful side porch was one of her simple pleasures made warm by her presence.
Sadly she had to retire early due to this illness, the three of you rallied and tried your best to make her long stay at the cancer center brighter for her with your upbeat personalities and positive presence. Her cousin Sue French coming from the Cape regularly to be by her side. A doctor telling her she should come in every day and give the staff a pep talk, another doctor coming in on his day off just to check on her.
As sad as it is to see her leave us, we couldn't imagine not having the joy we had with her every chance we could. Thanks to Betty Maxwell for bringing her into the world.
