Today was a challenging day for me as I wanted let Peter know about a BIS reunion coming up in New York, and thought I would google the latest. I was taken back to see he left us in January 2016. I had no idea; it was so sudden. I also realize how short life is. I still remember meeting him in June 1981 for a job interview at BIS. He offered me the position and over next four years I learned a lot about business and life. He gave me my first break and I always appreciated that opportunity. Over those years we have stayed in touch with surprise moments such as me stopping into the Sydney office totally unannounced - thousands of miles from my NJ home. The Nizich family also visited my home while on their own road trip to Washington, DC. I also recall Peter's 50th birthday party in CT. Along life's journey I too saw him blossom with a loving, caring family. He will be missed and may he rest in peace. Thank you Peter.

Deepest sorrow for your loss of Peter who clearly was a beloved husband and dad. We are so sorry that we only just learned of your loss. May your wonderful memories, over time, make you smile and delight in Peter's great life and legacy. Although we never met Peter and were only 'waving' neighbors, we are deeply saddened. To Cathy, Samantha, Adam, Alex and the rest of the Nizich family, I am so sorry for your loss it was a great loss of a wonderful man. Peter has touched my life in so many ways. Starting when I first met him and he gave me the nick name "Bertie" which I have grown to like. He was a very caring man and a good boss. I feel truly blessed to have had Peter as a part of my life for the last 5 years and memories of him will live within my heart forever. I pray that you will all find peace and strength knowing that Peter is home with his Heavenly father looking down with admiration, love and praying for you all. I am positive God is saying to him "Peter you did a wonderful job raising you family and I know you want them to know you love them and he is telling God what a loving family he has.
