My condolences go out to the family of John. John was my friend for several years at the gym in Middlebury. He was a good man and a good friend. We talked almost three times a weak for years. John has many friends from his gym and we all new something was wrong when he didn't show up for a weak. I will miss John. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Carolyn and family, We are so sorry to hear about John. We had fond memories of him. An especially nice memory was when John served as a gracious host with you during a progressive dinner. Erwin and I enjoyed the evening very much. Cynthia Pryde I remember a church ski trip, where he led a few of us that wanted to join him cross country skiing. We had a great day and covered about fifteen miles. Curtis Pryde

I met John at the woodbury/southbury rod + gun club. I have great respect for John and count him as a friend and I always will. John had a friend he hunted with at the club in Morris,ct. and one time Matt couldn"t be there one morning so John asked if he could hunt with me. He asked me to back him up if he missed a shot at a pheasant but it was the other way around. I was and always will be honored to have hunted with my friend. I have that day written in my bird hunting journal that I keep. I already miss John and my condolences to all his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace and may God grant you all comfort and peace. Mike Masulli

There were few world crises John and I didn't take on while we followed the dogs. He was truly a mentor and friend, and I respect him greatly for a life well-lived. Angus and Bella love "their John," and the dog cookies. The pheasants...not so much! I have been enriched by this man. Matt Minor
