Obituary of Jeanne C. Caldwell
CHESHIRE – JEANNE (COYLE) CALDWELL, 85 passed away peacefully Thursday, January 21, 2016 at home. She was the wife of the late John W. Caldwell with whom she was married for 64 years.
She was born October 19, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The daughter of Margaret and John Coyle. Jeanne was the youngest of seven sisters.
Jeanne was a proud graduate of Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. Jeanne was also an intelligent, tireless businesswoman who worked alongside her husband John for several years at Caldwell Consultants in Philadelphia and then alongside her son John at Corporate Printing, Inc. in Bethany and Cheshire, Connecticut until her retirement in 2003. She also enjoyed her grandchildren, and great grandchildren immensely.
She was a dedicated member of the Cheshire Women's Club since 1970 and a communicant of St. Bridget Church.
Jeanne, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, is survived by her three children. Sons John W. Caldwell, Bruce D. Caldwell and his wife Christine. Her daughter Sally J. Caldwell O'Donnell and husband John J. O'Donnell. Her six grandchildren, Jennifer Caldwell Duffy, Gregory Caldwell, Philip Caldwell, Steven Caldwell, Jeanne H. O'Donnell, John C. O'Donnell, and three great-grandchildren, Patrick, Shawn, and Mason
Arrangements - A Memorial Service for Jeanne and John will be held on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget’s Church 175 Main St., Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The ALS Association Connecticut Chapter, 4 Oxford Road, Unit E4, Milford, CT 06460, or Hospital for Special Care Foundation, Inc., 2150 Corbin Avenue, New Britain, CT 06053. The Alderson-Ford Funeral of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
