Dear Fritz Family: It is with sincere sympathy that I write this note to all of you. I knew your Mom and Dad as a little girl, traveling from R.I. to CT with my Dad sometimes for a week in New Haven while he called on his customers, Fritz and Hawley being one of them. Then we moved to Cheshire, as did your parents and our parents were friends and they used to come to dinner at our house and my parents to yours when we were all kids, I a few years older than you kids. How strange that I was just wondering about your parents a few days ago and how a few weeks ago I was telling my brother-in-law, recently retired opthamologist in Venice, FL. He had a picture hanging on the wall in the office part of his office, a print by Normal Rockwell of a little boy in baseball uniform, with glove, getting fitted for his new glasses. Not sure if you all know that Norman Rockwell used to buy his camera equipment and film when in the New Haven area from Fritz and Hawley and he walked in one day to this sight of the little boy getting his glasses, took a picture and later did the painting. So each time I see that picture I think of your Mom and Dad with fond memories. I am so sorry that you have lost your Mom, you posted a wonderful picture of her and I know she will be missed greatly.
