So very sorry to hear that your mom has passed away, Kim and Brenda, she was such a wonderful, bright, uplifting time in my life during the years that we worked for the State of Connecticut. I remember when our manager Sal Lisitano first interviewed 3 women for the job in our unit in Waterbury. The last one was Ruth and each time Sal asked my opinion, , well when he finished interviewing Ruth, as soon as she left, I asked him to please, please choose her! She had such a personality along with her professional demeanor, like someone you felt as if you had known for many years.I loved her from day one! As we worked together from that time on we shared some adventures, some sorrows but many more laughs! Oh how Ruth could cheer up a room! Even doing something ordinary, to bring us to laughter. I remember once, just sitting on a bench in the old Naugatuck Valley Mall ( no longer on Wolcott St in Waterbury) and we just' people watched,',well Ruth's sense of humor had me falling off the bench and we laughed at that too.! She loved to dance, and went dancing often with her old friend Tom Ranalli,and wow, she could dress , oh my did she have style! Often folks did a double take when they saw her, saying she was so cute and looked so much like the actress Rue McClanahan from that show " The Golden Girls"! I've missed her in these later years, she called me about 2 years ago but told me she couldn't give me a phone number or address to call back or keep in touch because of memory problems. I know she's in heaven and I hope she knows that I missed her so and won't ever forget her! Vaya con Dios Ruth.___ Kit
