Obituary of Pauline K. Swezey
Pauline (Kislock) Swezey, age 94, of Cheshire entered into rest on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Elim Park. She was the devoted wife of the late Franklin D. “Frank” Swezey, Sr. for over 53 years. Pauline was born on July 14, 1921 in New Haven, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Kislock.
Pauline grew up in West Haven and graduated from West Haven High School, Class of 1939. She and her husband were married in 1948 and raised their family in North Branford where she was active in the North Branford Congregational Church. She worked at New Haven Clock Company and Winchesters before becoming a homemaker. Pauline and Frank enjoyed traveling throughout the US visiting family. In 1998 they celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and friends at Bill Miller’s Castle. In 2000, Pauline and Frank joined the community at Elim Park.
She is the beloved mother of Franklin D. Swezey, Jr. and former spouse, Tina of Cheshire and Bruce H. Swezey and former spouse, Tracey of Franklin, WI. She is survived by her loving grandchildren; Kristin (Tim) Grasse, Frank (Andrea) Swezey, III, Lynn Anne Swezey and Jonathan, Gracie, Abbie and Lydia Swezey; her cherished great grandchildren; Cody, Spenser, Tori, Frank IV, Drew Sebastian, Miguel and Collin.
Pauline’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of the staff at Elim Park for their compassion and the utmost care they provided to her during her time spent at the healthcare center.
