Obituary of Ronald Donaldson

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Ronald Clyde Donaldson, 74 of Naugatuck, passed away late Saturday evening July 27, 2012 at the VITAS unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of the late Carlene (Carlson) Donaldson. Mr. Donaldson was born in Bridgeport, Jan. 22, 1938, a son of the late William and Hazel (Taylor) Donaldson and was educated in the local school system. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He leaves two sons, Ronald F. Donaldson and his companion, Janet Mucherino of Stratford and Scott Donaldson and his companion Gretchen Hessel of Fairfield; one daughter, Gloria Caulfield and her husband Mark of Naugatuck; one step-son, Michael Formato and his wife Alicia of Stratford; one step-daughter, Kelly Carlson of Waterbury; one brother, Richard Donaldson and his wife Pam of Bridgeport; one sister, Patricia Hobdy of Louisiana; his grandchildren, Ryan and Cameron Caulfield, Emily, and Spencer Donaldson, and Richard Donaldson, Christine Baker Donaldson, Marik, Ellison and Justyn Carlson, and Christopher, Anna and Michael Formato; one great-grandchild, Devin Christopher Caulfield. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening July 31, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Stratford at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 pm until the time of the service.
