Obituary of Dorothy Northway

WATERBURY- Mrs. Dorothy Ruth (Zubanch) Northway, 79, of Waterbury, passed away Sunday July 22, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leslie A. Northway, Sr. Mrs. Northway was born in Naugatuck, March 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Sargeant) Zubanch, Sr. and was educated in the Naugatuck school system and a graduate of Naugatuck High School, class of 1950. In Dorothy's own words she liked to be referred to as a "Household Engineer" She leaves four sons, David Northway, and his wife Tina, Leslie Northway, Jr., James Northway all of Waterbury, and Douglas Northway and his wife Theresa of Wolcott; one daughter, Nancy Palombo, and her husband, Steven of Wolcott; one brother, Michael Zubanch of Naugatuck; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Anna Zajak and 2 brothers Daniel and Charles Zubanch. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Aug. 11, 2012 at 10 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 27 Judd St., Bristol, 06010. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. is assisting the family with the arrangements.
