Mrs.Edie Sirois, Children and Grandchildren of Bob:
We want to extend our deepest sympathies to you at this time of sorrow.
Bob has been a very kind neighbor to us, always lending a hand, or giving us advice when we asked how to fix anything, for the past 22years.
He was my commard, when outside snow-blowing in the winter, always with a friendly wave.I would anxiously watch him sweeping the snow off the roof during heavy snowstorms, praying until he was down safely.
In the Spring when we would all thaw out,he would stroll over and we would chat about surviving another winter, both vowing we hated the cold.
I would watch as he would help his Mom outside with her walker, being so patient with her, and help her put a few plants in the yard. As a retired geriatric nurse, seeing him be so patient and gentle with her was heartwarming.
Summertime was enjoying the meticuosly groomed yard he maintained.He seemed to catch a broken twig before it hit the ground.
In Autumn he showed me how he fed the squirrles at his back window. They knew him and would eat from his hand.He often shared his enjoyment of hummingbirds, and rabbits.
I think we should never take for granted: a chat, a smile, a wave: for tomorrow it may not be there.
Bob, your Son, your Dad, your Grandad, was a man of all seasons.
We have more than deeply felt his loss,part of our daily life has ended,and we will forever hold him dear in our hearts.
May we all be comforted with happy memories of him in our time of sorrow. He sometimes spoke of Bible scriptures:Rest In Peace Bob JOHN:3:16
