Dear Marge & family, I send you my deepest condolences. I've known Carl since I was a little girl, when he came home from the service after losing his arm. I am Ken & Mary Hale's oldest daughter. The one thing that Carl did that I will always remember; I joined Cheshire Grange in April 1961, immediately joined New Haven Pomona, immediately joined CT State Grange in Hartford, and immediately joined National Grange in Worcester, Mass. When it came to my first anniversary, Carl gave me a bracelet with a charrn for each Grange emblem and on the back, the date that I joined. (I still have it!) He also gave a charm bracelet to the other girls that had joined National Grange. Again, my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you.
