Gregg, Randy, David & Jeff — That was one of the most entertaining and colorful obits I've read in ages, fitting tribute to as equally entertaining and colorful a man as I've been honored to know, even so many years ago as it's been. How well I remember his celebrity during Watergate, which he, "Mom" and I reminisced over when I last visited him at home just a few years ago. After many, many years, it was gratifying that they both remembered me on sight (was I THAT bad an influence on Gregg?). They were both older then, but still looked the same to me, and both still sharp as tacks. Glad I had the chance to see him, however briefly, before he passed, and unfortunate to have missed Toni before she left this world. Sorry, too, to have missed the services, but my thoughts were with all y'all as we share a common grief.

Randy and family. I've known your Dad & Mom for the last 50 years (starting when I was a child at Cheshire Baptist Church) So many memories, but one thing I will remember is the smiles that were always present when I would see them. They were examples of faithfulness to each other, perseverance, and hard work (I remember that neither one really wanted to "retire") I'm happy for them as they're reunited with each other and so many that have gone on before. Your Dad really was a pillar of 120 Main St Church over the years as they went through their many changes. Their faithfulness was even evidenced there. Praying for you as you mourn. Thankful for your Dad's service. Both militarily and personally.

To Joe's Family,
You were very lucky to have parents, grandparents and great grandparents as nice and warm as Joe and Toni. We have only known them for the past 30 years which is a small slice of their wonderful life together but in that time, Joe and Toni were as one. Their kindness and thoughtfulness were always present when you saw them or spoke to them. We feel lucky to have known such a great couple and hope they are now once again happy together in their next journey.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Raines family who I'm sure will miss Joe and Toni's daily presence and happiness they bestowed on you all.
Rich and Judy Pavadore

Dear Children of Joseph and Toni Raines: This has truly been a most difficult season for you. So many hearts and lives were touched by Joseph and Toni, and it almost seems right for two who spent so many years together, that they should be united once again in Heaven. Their love was tested and found true for 70 years. The legacy that they have left behind is a tribute to their faith and trust in their Lord. We will miss them both, but hold dear so many wonderful memories we shared together. We love you all. Charlotte and Walter
