Dear Walston Family:
I was sorry to hear of your loss.
I worked with Ed during my time at the B/S/H/ Home Appliances Company, located here in Canton, MA.
During his years as Northeast Regional Service Manager at B/S/H/, Ed conducted many helpful home appliance training sessions for the B/S/H/ authorized service technicians located throughout his territory. Ed was a hands-on service management gem, always available with time saving tech-tips for the field service crew. And, I always remember his direct, honest responses to problematic situations could be quite humorous at times.
I know Ed will be missed by his wife, Charlan, and his family, along with his trusty dog, Prince
My heart goes out to you now and in the days ahead.
DAVID DePAOLI, DEDHAM, MA

John White posted a condolence

Dear Walston Family:
I write to you as Commander of VFW Post 10052 and as Chaplain of American Legion Post 92, both here in Cheshire. Ed belonged to both posts.
Although I didn't know Ed personally because he didn't attend post meetings, his death is no less significant to me and the members of both posts. He was a veteran and he supported his concern for veterans by his memberships. His dues were used for veterans activities in service to God and to country.
I will be out of town at the time of Ed's funeral, but I have passed his obituary to our membership and asked them to try to be present, and to identify themselves to you as the comrades we all regard ourselves to be.
God's blessing on you in your time of mourning.
John White
