Obituary of Lillian Gubitosi

CHESHIRE - Lillian Gubitosi, 84, was called back home August 15th following a brief illness. She gave thanks for this life to her parents Lilie and Nick Samuels, who also gave her 12 brothers and sisters to make life a little more interesting. Lillian was married to the love of her life, Louis Warren Gubitosi, before he left Earth to return home in 1993. She leaves behind a brother Eddie Samuels of OR, a sister Ellen Hardy of NM, a son Alan Gubitosi of Bradley Beach, NJ, a daughter Gina Gubitosi-D'Aurio of Cheshire, CT, along with 6 grandchildren, Louis Gubitosi, Matthew Gubitosi, Nicholas Gubitosi, Zachary Gubitosi, Ariana D'Aurio and Anthony D'Aurio and many beautiful nieces and nephews that she was blessed in this life with. She retired in her sixties from working at SNET and then enjoyed her last 4 years working at the Cheshire Community Pool. What gave her the most joy was sharing her incredible artistic talents, her love of life and God with everyone. And now, Lillian wanted you to know that she has rejoined her Heavenly Family and is once again reunited with her love, Louis; and she says: "Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand. Do good, be kind. Namaste`." Arrangements - A Memorial service will be held Sat. August 25, 2012, 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 59 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to: Smile Train, 41 Madison Avenue - 28th Floor, New York, NY 10160-0956. This was her favorite charity; she could not think of a nicer gift than to give the gift of a new life to a child.
