Obituary of Kerry A. Ebersole

Kerry A. Ebersole, age 59, of Southington entered into rest on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden after a brief illness. She was born on January 2, 1957 in Cranston, RI, daughter of Harold Pierce and the late Mary (Ratcliffe) Pierce. Kerry grew up across the country while her father served in the US Navy, spending time in Tennessee, Illinois, and even several years on Guam. After graduating in 1975 from Joseph Case High School in Swansea, MA and studying at Southeastern Massachusetts University, Kerry spent most of her career in transportation and logistics. She was most recently employed as a Dispatch Supervisor at Crystal Motor Express in West Springfield, MA. Kerry was an avid genealogy researcher, and found pleasure in sewing, crocheting gifts for family and friends, and NASCAR. Above all else, she had an undying love for her family, including her cat Mitzi. She is the beloved mother of Garrett Ebersole and his wife, Kate of Hamden and Candice Ebersole of Southington; and is also survived by her uncles, Joseph Ratcliffe of Danielson and Samuel Ratcliffe of Warwick, RI; and her former husband Charles Ebersole. She will be missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Service for Kerry will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 7PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410. Friends may greet her family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:30PM until 7PM. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Greater New Haven Cat Project, P.O. Box 1432, New Haven, CT 06056.
