Obituary of Albert S. Busk

Cheshire– Albert S. Busk, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Masonicare Health Center. He was the husband of Barbara (Buckland) Busk. Mr. Busk was born January 21, 1927, in New Haven, a son of the late Albert and Ida (Ezold) Busk. Al served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 88th Infantry and is a retired operator from United Illuminating. He was a devoted member of the Connecticut Freemasons and the American Legion. In addition to his wife, Al is survived by his four daughters, Sandy Nafis, and her husband, Alan, Linda Busk, Debbie Johnson, and her husband, Eric, and Laura Busk, and her husband, Donnel. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren, Mike and Danny Nafis, Kimberly and Will Johnson, Ellie Ziedman, and Aedan and Maggie Mahoney. Mr. Busk also leaves behind his brother, Walter Busk, and his sister, Shirley Lowry, and many devoted nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and William Busk and his sister, Dorothy Blaskewicz. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Ramage 6 at the Masonicare Health Center for their excellent care and love for Al. He will be fondly remembered as a kind-hearted and gentle soul and will be sincerely missed by many. Arrangements – Services for Mr. Busk will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 S Main Street, Cheshire. Burial will follow at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, Wallingford Road, Cheshire. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
