It was an honor to have met and worked with Fran. Fran hired me in early 2004 as a freelance technical illustrator to do work on the various Painmaster booklets and diagrams for Newmark, Inc. I found it to be enjoyable work and Fran was always easy to work for. I attended one of Fran's famous St. Patrick's Day parties, which I found to be great fun. He is dearly missed by my wife, Joan and I. My deepest condolences go out to all of Fran's family and friends.

I feel terrible that I just learned in February 2017 that Fran passed away last October. When I started my consulting business in 2000 Fran gave me a chance, and despite some bumps in the road, we worked together for many years. After I sold my business, Fran stayed in touch with me via email and often I would get a surprise Christmas delivery at my house of steaks or other great presents. In June 2016 Fran sent me a picture from the hospital wearing a shirt that I had given him many years ago. I respected him as a person and a businessman. He was a kind man who will be missed. Peace. Wendy, I just learned of Fran's passing. I am so sorry for the heartache you must be feeling. Please know that I will remember Fran as the positive, funny and friendly man that he was. As the three of us sat in Albany Medical Center, I saw a man that was truly in love with his wife. I was awed by the relationship that the both of you shared. True love comes once in a lifetime.....and we both know that. Again, please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear husband. Love, Patty Biski

I feel very sad to know the passing away of Francis Powell, who was not only a personal friend but a great human being. Though we started our relationship as a business transaction, but with time, it developed more into something personal. He was one of the first persons who believed in myself and sincerely felt that I will reach the heights that I have scaled in all these years.
