Obituary of Emmanuel Pelletier
CHESHIRE – Emmanuel “Mel” Pelletier, 89, passed away at his home on Tuesday November 1, 2016. He was the husband of Ann (Wild) Pelletier.
Mr. Pelletier was born April 21, 1927 in Eagle Lake, ME, the son of the late Alfred and Lucy (Viel) Pelletier. He was a Communicant of Church of the Epiphany and was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Pelletier was an Electrician for Superior Steel. Prior to his years at Superior he owned and operated Mel’s Texaco in Southington. He was an avid hunter, gardener and golfer but his greatest joy was his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his wife of 66 years, Mr. Pelletier is survived by his children Lynda Pelletier of Cheshire, Lawrence Pelletier and his wife Pam of Wood River Junction, RI, and Mary Christoff of Southington; his grandchildren Adam, Leah and Nolan Pelletier and Jerrid and Corey Christoff; his great grandchildren Julia, Rowan and Ethan Pelletier and Jonathan Grimaldi; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Pelletier is predeceased by his son Emmanuel.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday 9:45 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St., to Church of the Epiphany for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
