Obituary of Frances A. Altieri

WATERBURY- Frances A. Altieri, 82, passed away, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Altieri. Mrs. Altieri was born December 26, 1934 in Waterbury daughter of the late John and Mary (Loye) McDonald. Frances was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. She was Switch Board Operator at the Waterbury Republican American prior to her retirement. Mrs. Altieri was a member of Division #66 Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, and a longtime communicant, and volunteer at St. Michael Church in Waterbury, where she was a member of the Altar Guild. In her free time Frances loved to take trips to the casino, and vacations to Ireland. Above all she was very proud of her Irish heritage, and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her son Daniel Altieri Jr. of Waterbury; three daughters Linda Keane of Waterbury, Lisa and her husband Dean Rossignol of Wolcott, and Darla and her husband Randy Pennington of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her brother John McDonald of Waterbury; grandchildren Allyssa Bouley, Jason Ferland, Thomas Keane, Randy Pennignton Jr., and Jennifer Webster; and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Mary Moritis, Ellen Laudati, Rita Doolan. Arrangements- Calling hours for Mrs. Altieri will be held, 2 to 4 P.M, Sunday, January 29, 2017 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710. Frances funeral will start 9:15 A.M, Monday, January 30, 2017, from the funeral home and proceed to St. Michael Church, 62 St. Michael Drive, Waterbury, CT 06704, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Mrs. Altieri’s name may be made to St. Michael Church, 62 St. Michael Drive, Waterbury, CT 06704.
